Catalysts

All resins and topcoats need a catalyst in order to start the hardening process. Catalysts should be added at between 1-3 per cent by weight; however, we recommend the most suitable concentration of catalyst is 2 per cent or 20ml of catalyst per kg of resin.

Resin and topcoat catalysts are corrosive and must be handled with extreme care. You should never allow a catalyst to come into contact with an accelerator as this could cause a fire or explosion. We recommend that you use a dispenser for safe and accurate use.
